Day 1: ARRIVE JACKSON

Enjoy your complimentary private V.I.P. door-to-door transfer to your UK departure airport. 

Welcome to Jackson. Transfer to your hotel and get settled in preparation for the exciting days ahead. At 6 p.m., meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception.

Day 2: JACKSON FREE TIME 

Visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art, home to some of the best wildlife art in the country. Learn from a local art expert, a Local Specialist, how wildlife art enriches humanity's relationship with nature. Then, travel by aerial gondola from Teton Village to Rendezvous Lodge where you'll enjoy lunch with spectacular views of Jackson Hole. Enjoy some free time in the resort town of Jackson to wander around the iconic square framed by elk­antler arches. During the winter, when the arches and trees are blanketed with snow and decorated with lights, the square takes on a beautiful, festive atmosphere. Browse the square's dozens of boardwalkfronted art and photo galleries, factory outlets, gift shops, restaurants and bars, including the famed Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, featured in many Hollywood western movies.

Day 3: JACKSON – GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK – YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – OLD FAITHFUL (2 NIGHTS) 

Venture into the National Elk Refuge for a picturesque sleigh ride to view wild elk in their winter habitat at the base of the Grand Tetons. The refuge is the world's largest wintering concentration of elk. Get an up close look at the elk, which number in the thousands, and learn how the area strives to keep the remaining herds alive – including the annual antler auction, where Boy Scouts collect the great antlers shed by bulls in the spring and auction them off to pay for conservation efforts. Enter Grand Teton National Park and enjoy breathtaking views of the peaks that Theodore Roosevelt described as “what mountains are supposed to look like.” Enjoy lunch with some of the finest panoramic views of the Teton Range before boarding specially designed snowcoaches and entering Yellowstone National Park, the nation's first National Park. Skirt frozen Yellowstone Lake, the largest lake at high elevation in North America. Where the edges meet the heat of the boiling springs, you find patches of open water where otters frolic. After a full day of excitement, arrive at your hotel, the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, the newest and most modern accommodation in the park.

Day 4: OLD FAITHFUL FREE TIME 

Join your Travel Director for an easy walk across the snowy terrain from your hotel to the world­famous Old Faithful Geyser. Old Faithful is called the most predictable geographical feature on Earth due to its consistent and continuous eruptions almost every 90 minutes. Each powerful eruption shoots up to 8,450 gallons (32,000 litres) of boiling hot water at an average height of 100 feet (30 metres). Spend some free time taking full advantage of the activities offered in the winter only ­ strap on a pair of snowshoes, cross country skis or take a snowmobile and set off on the nearby trails, exploring Yellowstone up close and personal.

Day 5: OLD FAITHFUL ­ MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS ( 2 NIGHTS)  

Yellowstone is a wonderland of over 10,000 geysers, fumaroles, hot springs, mud pots and steam vents, and today you will enjoy a guided excursion to some of the park’s most scenic wonders aboard snowvans. Join a naturalist and Local Specialist while you keep an eye out for bison, elk, moose and the trumpeter swan as you head for the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the first and largest canyon on the Yellowstone River. Marvel at the Lower Yellowstone Falls, which cascade down over 300 feet (91 metres), almost twice the height of Niagara Falls. Later, arrive at your home for the next two nights, the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, a hub for snowy adventures, offering access to incredible wildlife watching, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating.

Day 6: LAMAR VALLEY WOLF SPOTTING

Meet your Local Specialist, a wildlife expert, and get your cameras ready as you head to Lamar Valley, a remote location on the Northeast section of the park which offers one of the best spots to see Yellowstone’s wildlife, especially wolf packs. Gaze in awe at these powerful, beautiful and evasive predators in their winter habitat. As the park is less frequented in the winter months, the wildlife is more active, creating oncein­ a­lifetime viewing opportunities. And it’s not just wolves. Keep your eyes peeled for eagles, coyotes, bison, elk and moose. Then, it’s on to the quaint town of Cooke City before heading back to the hotel for a leisurely evening.

Day 7: MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS ­ 320 GUESTRANCH

Board your snowcoach and head towards the West Entrance of Yellowstone, passing by the Norris Geyser Basin, home to oozing pools of liquefied rock oxidized in red, yellows and brown contrasting with the clear, deep blue crystal waters. The next stop is Gibbons Falls, an 84 foot (25 metre) cascade frozen in a veil of ice, before exiting the park. Visit the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, offering you the unique opportunity to experience the world of these fascinating animals. Meet with a naturalist and Local Specialist to learn about grizzly bears, gray wolves as you watch them interact in their outdoor habitats. Learn about the resident raptors ­ hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons that cannot be released into the wild because of injury or abandonment. Arrive at the historic 320 Guest Ranch, settled in 1898 along the banks of the Gallatin River in Montana’s Big Sky Country. This evening, enjoy true Montana hospitality as you gather for a ranch­style Farewell Dinner, followed by a star­dotted ride aboard a sleigh pulled by the ranch’s Percheron horses. Ride up into the woods of the national forest to Mountain Man Campsite where you’ll enjoy dessert ­ delicious wild berry cobbler, and hot beverages by a bonfire while listening to ranch stories.

Day 8: 320 GUEST RANCH ­ DEPART BOZEMAN OR EXTEND YOUR STAY
